§ 73.09 TRUCK PARKING RESTRICTED.
   (A)   General restrictions. No person shall allow any truck or trailer truck owned or driven by him or her to be parked, with or without occupants therein, upon any street in any residential district of the village for a period of time longer than 60 minutes within one 24-hour period; excepting however, service trucks or trailers representing business, manufacturing or utility companies servicing residences within the particular residential district, which trucks or trailers shall be permitted to park in the district for a period of time long enough to take care of the particular business or mission occupying its time, and no longer.
   (B)   Restrictions in residential districts and residences within business districts.
      (1)   Limited parking. All vehicles with an Illinois state license plate of higher than a “B” classification (or an out of state equivalent) as defined in 625 ILCS 5/3-815 or of a height of 90 inches or more are prohibited from parking or being stored on any premises zoned as a residential district, on any premises used solely as a residence within any business district or on any street in a residential district or street abutting a residential district for more than two hours, other than in a completely enclosed garage, except for and during the time said vehicle is making a delivery, being loaded or unloaded, or rendering a service at such premises or on such street. Except as provided above, it shall be unlawful for any person to use property in a residential district or property used solely as a residence within a business district for the storage of said vehicles, even though said vehicle shall be owned or operated by the owner of said property, and such storage shall not constitute or be construed as the making of a delivery or the rendering of a service, and shall be prohibited.
      (2)   Recreational vehicles. Recreational type vehicles, including, but not limited to, camping trucks or trailers, shall not be parked in any front yard, except upon a regularly constructed residential driveway. However, upon notification to the Police Department, owners of recreational type vehicles may park their vehicle in their front yard for a period not to exceed 48 hours for loading or unloading.
      (3)   Operation of refrigeration units. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or permit to operate, or for the owner of any premises to operate or permit to operate, the engine, motor or refrigeration unit of any second division vehicle, as defined in 625 ILCS 5/1-217, for a period in excess of 15 minutes while said unattended vehicle is loading, unloading, parked or stationary during the hours of 8:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. the following day in all residential zoning districts.
