This Title is adopted for the purpose of:
(A) Promoting the public health, safety, comfort, morals, convenience and general welfare.
(B) Securing adequate light, pure air and safety from fire and other dangers.
(C) Conserving the taxable value of land and buildings throughout the Village.
(D) Lessening or avoiding congestion in the streets.
(E) Lessening or avoiding hazards to persons and damage to property resulting from the accumulation or runoff of storm or flood waters.
(F) Insuring and facilitating the preservation of sites, areas, and structures of historical, architectural and aesthetic importance. (Ord. 93-13, 8-10-1993)
