6-1-9: JUVENILE OFFICER:
   (A)   There is hereby established the position of village juvenile officer, to be appointed by the village president, subject to the advice and consent of the board of trustees.
   (B)   The juvenile officer shall process all offenders under the age of seventeen (17) who shall be arrested within the village limits; further, he shall supervise such offenders and accompany them to the juvenile court facilities when necessary, and he shall attend all court hearings in connection with such offenders. The juvenile officer shall perform such other duties, including recordkeeping, as the chief of police or board of trustees shall prescribe.
   (C)   The juvenile officer shall be paid straight time wages for performance of his duties as juvenile officer. Said straight time wages shall be calculated and paid based on the individual officer's hourly salary structure. The juvenile officer shall accurately log and record all time spent actually performing duties as the juvenile officer and shall submit such records to the chief of police. The chief of police shall approve all such compensation for the juvenile officer. (Ord. 80-3, 5-13-1980)
