5-1-7: FIRE PROTECTION TRAINING ACT:
   (A)   Participation In State Programs: The village hereby elects to participate in the programs provided for in the Illinois fire protection training act 1 .
   (B)   Training Programs: The fire chief is hereby authorized and directed to take all reasonable steps to establish training programs necessary in order for the part time firefighters to meet emergency medical technician ambulance recertification requirements as prescribed by the Illinois department of public health.
