(A) Part Time Firefighters:
1. Duties: It shall be the duty of part time firefighters to conduct themselves in a proper and law abiding manner. Each member of the department shall obey the orders and directions of his/her superior. It shall be the duty of each part time/paid on call firefighter to protect life and property. A part time firefighter shall be responsible to the fire chief, and the part time call shift commander on duty. Said part time call shift commander shall also serve as incident commander unless relieved by the fire chief.
2. Hours: A part time firefighter shall not work more than twenty nine (29) hours a week.
3. Maintain Rating: Any part time firefighter shall keep his/her emergency medical technician license current at all times. A part time firefighter is subject to termination from village employment if his/her license is not valid. (Ord. 15-02, 4-14-2015)
