4-3-1: ADOPTION OF ELECTRICAL CODE:
A certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the village clerk of the village of Forest View, being marked and designated as the NFPA 70 national electrical code, 2014 edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, be and hereby is adopted as the electrical code of the village of Forest View, in the state of Illinois for regulating, governing and the practical safeguarding of persons and property from the hazards arising from the use of electricity by providing standards and conditions for the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electrical systems; to ensure that structures are safe and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use and the demolition of such structures; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said electrical code on file in the office of the village of Forest View, by reference, as if fully set forth herein.
The enforcement of said electrical code is by the village administrator or his/her designee. (Ord. 16-12, 9-27-2016)
