4-1-2: PERMIT FEES:
Fees to be collected by the village clerk for building and demolition permits shall be as follows:
   (A)   Residential Permits: Fees shall be charged per estimated construction costs as follows:

   (B)   Commercial, Industrial And All Other Occupancies Other Than Residential: Fees shall be charged per estimated construction cost as follows:

1.5% of the total cost of construction which shall include but not be limited to materials, labor, and profits.
 
   (C)   Demolition Permits: Fees shall be charged per estimated demolition costs per subsections (A) and (B) of this section.
The actual cost of construction or demolition shall be submitted to the building inspector at the completion of the job. If the actual cost exceeds the estimated cost permit fee, an additional fee will be required. If the actual cost is lower than the estimated permit fee then a refund will be issued. No demolition permit shall be issued for any property until the owner thereof submits to the Village evidence demonstrating that the premises has been inspected for the presence of termites and similar insects, and that none are present. In the event termites are present on any such property, no demolition permit shall be issued until such time as the owner has submitted satisfactory proof to the Building Commissioner that the termites have been eliminated from the property and all other necessary corrective action has been taken to ensure that no termites will spread to nearby properties.    (D)   Ancillary Costs: In addition to all the above estimated construction cost fees, the building permit fee shall also include any ancillary costs incurred by the Village in the process of said fee. These are to include, but not be limited to, electrical inspection fees, fire safety/sprinkler approval fees, etc. (Ord. 15-06, 5-26-2015; amd. Ord. 22-23, 8-23-2022)
