The committee of the whole, acting in its capacity to hear zoning matters, is hereby vested with the following duties and authority:
(A) To hear and decide appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the zoning enforcement officer under the zoning ordinance;
(B) To hear and submit findings and recommendations to the village board on variations from the terms provided in the zoning ordinance in the manner and subject to the standards set forth in said zoning ordinance;
(C) To hear and decide all matters referred to it or upon which it is required to pass under the zoning ordinance;
(D) To receive from the village clerk copies of all applications for amendments or special uses which have been introduced to the village board;
(E) To hold public hearings on all matters pertaining to applications for special uses and amendments, and submit reports to the village board setting forth its findings and recommendations in the manner prescribed in the zoning ordinance for special uses and amendments;
(F) To initiate, direct and review, from time to time, studies of the provisions of the zoning ordinance not less frequently than once each year; and
(G) To hear and decide all matters upon which it is required to pass under the zoning ordinance. (Ord. 14-14, 12-9-2014)
