§ 90.14 SIGNS EXEMPTED.
   (A)   Any sign 32 square feet or less, except those signs that require the following:
      (1)   Approval or permit as required by the OBBC.
      (2)   Approval or permit that require electrical inspection.
      (3)   Signs that must comply with the comprehensive and master signage plans required under § 90.22 and § 90.23.
      (4)   Signs restricted by SPA-1 or SPA-2 district development plans.
      (5)   Wall signs greater than six square feet.
      (6)   Permanent signs greater than six square feet.
   (B)    Free standing signs that are exempted must not be greater than six feet in height from ground surface to top of the sign, must be spaced a minimum of five feet apart in all directions, and must be set back a minimum of five feet from any right of way.
   (C)    Wall signs six square feet or less in area may be painted or placed directly on the surface of a wall and must be a minimum of five feet apart from any other sign painted or placed on the same wall.
   (D)   Signs within the interior of an enclosed mall are not regulated by this chapter, but are required to comply with the applicable requirements of the OBBC. Permits are required in accordance with the Building Code.
