§ 36.65 CERTIFICATION PROCESS.
   (A)   Immediately on receipt of a written request for certification to fill a vacancy, the Commission shall certify to the appointing officer from the eligibility list most nearly appropriate, the names, addresses, and rank of all persons scoring 90 or more. If such list does not contain a minimum of ten (10) names, then the low score limitation shall be reduced one (1) point at a time until a minimum of ten (10) names are certified. If more than one vacancy is to be filled from the same certification, the minimum number of names to be certified will be ten (10) per vacancy. (Ord. 43-1983, passed 10-3-83)
   (B)   On certifications subsequent to the first certification on any given eligibility list, the low score limitation shall be reduced one (1) point at a time until a minimum of ten (10) names are certified for each succeeding certification. Whenever a vacancy occurs and an eligibility list exists for the class, the ten (10) persons with the highest ratings shall be certified to the appointing authority. The appointing authority shall appoint, at his/her discretion, one of the persons certified to him, to such position. (Ord. 46-1983, passed 10-3-83)
   (C)   Notwithstanding the provisions of this § 36.65, when a written request for certification is received from the School District, the Commission will certify the ten (10) highest names from the appropriate eligibility list in case of one vacancy. If more than one (1) position is to be filled from the same certification, the number of names certified will be determined as follows: for two (2) to four (4) vacancies, add two (2) to the number of vacancies; for five (5) to eight (8) vacancies, add four (4) to the number of vacancies; and for nine (9) or more vacancies, add six (6) to the number of vacancies.
