The Chief of Police shall dispose of abandoned, stolen, or forfeited property, unclaimed for a period of 90 days, by sale at a public auction.
(A) Due notice of the public auction will be given by advertisement, published once a week for three successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the community.
(B) The proceeds from the property disposed of by sale at public auction shall be paid to the Director of Finance of the city and credited to the city's General Fund.
