(A) It is the expressed intent of the City Council to establish, effective July 1, 1982, a longevity pay program in the amounts listed below.
(1) Less than ten years service, 1%.
(2) Ten years to 24 years service, 2%.
(3) Twenty-five or more years service, 3%.
(B) Payment of longevity pay will be made on or before February 1st of each year. Payment will be based on the full-time (non-bargaining unit) employee's years of service and active status on December 31st of the preceding year. The payment is subject to regular withholding for taxes and retirement.
