An employee may be granted up to five days leave of absence (classified as bereavement leave) with pay upon the recommendation of the department head in case of a death in the employee's family. EMPLOYEE'S FAMILY may include father, mother, sister, brother, wife, husband, or children, step-children, in-laws, and other relatives at the discretion of the department head, but would normally include only members of the immediate family. Bereavement leave does not count towards the calculation of overtime.
