For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
COLLECTOR. Any person, corporation or other entity engaged in the business of collecting refuse, recyclables or demolition and construction waste.
COMPOST. Organic matter such as leaves, grass, clippings, lake weeds, and other biodegradable material which under proper conditions will convert to a soil like substance used for fertilizer and a soil conditioner.
GARBAGE. Organic waste resulting from the preparation of food and decayed and spoiled food from any source.
RECYCLABLES. Materials that are separated from refuse for the purpose of recycling, including plastic, paper, glass, metals, automobile oil and batteries.
REFUSE. Includes garbage and rubbish.
RUBBISH. All inorganic solid waste such as ashes, sweepings and other non-reusable waste.
