§ 31.57 MEMBERSHIP.
   The Airport Commission shall be composed of 5 members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council from persons interested in the development and utilization of the municipal airport. Members may include both citizens and up to 2 members of the City Council and shall be residents of the city. The Commission shall designate 1 of its members as Chairperson. Two members of the original Commission shall serve for a term expiring on the date of the second regular City Council meeting held in January 2003. Three members of the original Commission shall serve for a term expiring on the date of the second regular City Council meeting held in January 2004. After the terms of the original Commission members expire, members shall be appointed for terms of 3 years with the exception of City Council members, who shall be appointed for a term of 1 year. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with approval of the City Council for the balance of the term.
