905.02  SINGLE OPENING OR EXCAVATION ONLY; LENGTH; DEFLECTION.
   For purposes of this chapter, an opening or excavation in, or removal of a portion of the surface of any street, alley or other public ground, or disturbance of the same, shall consist of a single opening, excavation, removal or disturbance within a street, alley or other ground which is of no greater length than the length or the width of the particular block in which the work is to be done, and no linear openings, excavations, removals or disturbances in a street or alley shall have a greater deflection from a straight line than the deflection of the particular alley or street in which such excavation is being made.
