(a) No dwelling sale shall be conducted by more than one (1) resident without the consent of the Village Administrator.
(b) No dwelling sale shall be conducted during hours other than between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and in no event shall a dwelling sale last more than three (3) consecutive days.
(c) No dwelling sale shall offer any merchandise for sale that has been purchased by the resident for purpose of resale at such dwelling sale. Any new merchandise offered for sale shall be prima-facie evidence as merchandise purchased by the resident for resale at such dwelling sale. (Ord. 1022. Passed 7-8-82.)
(d) Dwelling sales may be advertised through the newspaper or other news media. A sign, no greater than three (3) feet by three (3) feet may be installed on the property where the sale is being conducted and on other property with the consent of the property owner. Such signs may be installed in a Village right of way adjoining said properties provided they do not obstruct the view of motorists using that right of way. No lighted sign shall be used. All signs shall be removed within 24 hours after the conclusion of the sale. (Ord. 1776. Passed 5-14-09.)
(e) Prior to and during the conduct of a dwelling sale as permitted by this chapter, it shall be unlawful to place or permit any signs, advertising, promoting or giving directions to said sale, at any location other than the property where the sale is being conducted.
(f) No signs or advertising is to be utilized by a person outside his dwelling house or any other location if he is selling or offering to sell ten (10) articles or less of personal property.
