509.10  CURFEW FOR MINORS.
   (a)   No minor under the age of 18 years, unless accompanied by one or more of his or her parents, by his or her guardian, or by another person having the legal custody of such minor, shall be in or upon a street, highway, road, sidewalk, alley, park, schoolground, playground, public building, business establishment, place of amusement or entertainment, parking lot, vacant lot or other similar place, whether public or private property, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. the next day and between the hours of 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6:00 a.m. the next day.  However, a minor under the age of 18 years who attends a scheduled public school or church function which does not terminate until after the hour of 10:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday) or whose employment requires him or her to work later than 10:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday) shall be permitted to return home without being in violation of this section provided he or she does so by the most direct route immediately upon the termination of said event or the conclusion of said employment.  Any minor under the age of 18 who violates this section shall be charged in the Juvenile Division, Court of Common Please, Hardin County, Ohio, as an unruly child as defined in Ohio R.C. 2151.022.
   (b)   No parent, guardian or other adult person having the legal custody of a minor under the age of 18 years shall knowingly permit such minor to be in or upon a street, highway, road, sidewalk, alley, park, schoolground, playground, public building, business establishment, place of amusement or entertainment, parking lot, vacant lot, or other similar place, whether public or private property, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. the next day and between the hours of 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6:00 a.m. the next day, in violation of subsection (a) hereof.
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
