505.09 BARKING OR HOWLING ANIMALS.
   (a)   No person shall keep or harbor any animal which howls, barks, or emits audible sounds that are unreasonably loud and disturbing and that are of such character, intensity, and duration as to disturb the peace and quiet of the neighborhood or to be detrimental to the life and health of any individual. Any person who allows any animal to habitually remain or be lodged or fed within any dwelling, building, yard, or enclosure that he or she occupies or owns shall be considered to be harboring such animal.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor as classified in Section 501.991.
