1320.09  STOP WORK ORDER.
   (a)   Authority: Whenever the Code Officer finds any work regulated by this Code being performed in a manner contrary to the provisions of this Code or in a dangerous or unsafe manner, the Code Officer is authorized to issue a Stop Work Order.
   (b)   Issuance: A Stop Work Order shall be in writing and shall be given to the owner of the property or to the person doing the work.  Upon issuance of the Stop Work Order, the cited work shall immediately cease.  The Stop Work Order shall cite the reason for the order and conditions that must be met for the resumption of work.
   (c)   Failure to Comply: Any person who shall continue to work after having been served with a Stop Work Order, except to correct the violation or unsafe condition, shall be subject to a fine of $100.00 per day for the unsafe condition or violation as long as the condition exists.
