(a) In the event of the death of a Village employee, the total amount of accrued sick leave, earned vacation time, and accrued compensatory time off, up to a maximum of 120 days, shall be paid to the estate of said employee.
(b) Full-time employees leaving the employ of the Village shall be paid as follows:
(1) Earned vacation time and accrued compensatory time off shall be paid at 100% of the base rate of pay.
(2) Accrued sick leave shall be paid at 100% of the base rate of pay as follows:
A. 1 to 10 years service - 50% of accrued sick leave.
B. 10 to 15 years service - 60 days maximum.
C. 15 to 20 years service - 90 days maximum.
D. Over 20 years service - 120 days maximum.
(3) Upon separation, the employee may elect to be paid for accrued sick leave, up to a maximum of 120 days, or allow such sick leave to remain of record with the Village in the event he/she accepts employment with another agency covered under the sick leave policy of the State of Ohio.
(4) Sick leave days converted to cash shall not be reinstated as sick leave days.
