The following job classifications for Village employees are hereby established:
(a) Full-time Hourly (Village Administrator and Working Supervisors).
(1) Employees in this classification shall devote a portion of their time on the job to supervision.
(2) Employees under this classification shall be scheduled to work regular daily hours in a basic work week.
(3) Such employees except the Village Administrator shall be entitled to overtime pay or compensatory time off when authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor. The Village Administrator shall be entitled to overtime pay or compensatory time off when authorized by the Mayor.
(4) Such employees may be requested to attend meetings by the Mayor, Village Council, or the Village Administrator. Time spent at these meetings shall be considered part of such employee's responsibilities and shall not be included for determining overtime pay or compensatory time. The normal work schedule shall be adjusted as necessary to accommodate the time spent attending meetings.
(b) Full-time Hourly.
(1) Employees in this classification shall be scheduled to work regular daily hours in a basic work week.
(2) Such employees shall be entitled to overtime pay or compensatory time off when authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor.
(3) Full-time hourly employees shall be assigned work by a Working Supervisor.
(c) Part-time Hourly.
(1) Part-time (Regular).
A. Employees in this classification shall be scheduled to work regular hours in a basic work week not to exceed thirty-two (32) hours except in an emergency and when authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor.
B. Overtime shall be paid when the employee works over forty (40) hours in a basic work week and has been authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor.
(2) Part-time (Non-Regular).
A. Employees in this classification shall be carried on a roster and be assigned to work when part-time regular employees are not available or when additional part-time help is required. Such employees shall not be scheduled to work more than thirty-two (32) hours in a basic work week except in an emergency and when authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor.
B. Overtime shall be paid when the employee works over forty (40) hours in a basic work week and has been authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor.
(d) Temporary - Hourly.
(1) Employees in this classification shall be hired to perform specific work and shall be released upon completion of that work.
(2) Overtime shall be paid when the employee works over forty (40) hours in a basic work week and has been authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Mayor.
(e) Seasonal - Hourly.
(1) Only employees of the Park and Recreation Department shall be in this classification.
(2) Such employees shall be under the direction of the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, the Park and Recreation Director.
(3) Such employees shall not be employed for a period exceeding seven months in any one calendar year.
(4) Such employees shall be entitled to compensation at a straight-time rate for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours when such work is authorized by the Village Administrator or, in the absence of the Village Administrator, by the Chairman of the Recreation Board.
