§ 31.43 FILING FEES.
   Candidates for the office of Mayor and Council shall at the time of filing a statement of candidacy with the Charleston County Board of Elections, or the City Clerk-Treasurer if so designated, pay a filing fee not to exceed $50 for a candidacy for Mayor and a filing fee not to exceed $25 for a candidacy for Council.
