§ 95.32 ANIMALS WITHOUT PROPER CARE; ABANDONMENT.
   (A)   Whenever the animal services officer or public safety officer finds that any animal is or will be without proper care because of injury, illness, incarceration or other involuntary absence of the person responsible for the care of the animal, they may impound the animal and place it with the SPCA or other approved private humane organization until reclaimed by its owner. The owner must pay the fees in the same manner as any other owner would redeem an impounded animal prior to the release.
   (B)   Any animal which has been impounded and not reclaimed for ten days after the circumstances causing the impounding have ceased to exist may be adopted out immediately after the expiration of ten days from the time of impounding without the posting of any notice whatsoever.
