It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporation to obstruct or cause to be obstructed any fire escape, as provided for by Act 170, Public Acts of the State of Michigan of 1883 in such a manner as to interfere, in case of fire, with the escape of the patrons and occupants of any theater, church, office building, public dance hall, club, or building which is designated to be a building in which a large number of people are accustomed to gather.
