There is hereby established a Community Beautification Commission, to act in an advisory capacity to the City government of the City of Flint in connection with the artistic and cultural development of the City. Such Commission shall consist of eighteen (18) members to be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by a majority of the City Council. The Mayor shall solicit suggested nominations for such appointments from architectural, art, musical, literary, educational, museum, business, religious and other cultural and professional organizations.
