(a) The City scales, lying between the Flint River and East Boulevard Drive, north of Robert T. Longway Boulevard, shall be under the jurisdiction and control of the Sealer of Weights and Measures and it shall be the duty of the Sealer to maintain the scales in accordance with the standards established by State law. The scales shall be available for use by members of the public. The Sealer shall establish, by rule, the days of the week and the hours of the day that the scales shall be kept open for business and he or she shall cause a posting of the hours and days in a conspicuous place at the scales.
(b) Fees for the use of the scales shall be paid to the Sealer, or his or her duly authorized representative, at the time of use of the scales. The fees shall be established from time to time by resolution of the City Council, kept on file by the City Clerk, and contained in Appendix A of the City Code.
