§ 49-11  POWER OF SEALER.
   (a)   The Sealer is vested with special powers with respect to the enforcement of this chapter and any other provision of this Code or ordinance of the City dealing with weights and measures that he or she is or may be empowered to enforce. He or she may apply to the Director for seizure for use as evidence without formal warrant incorrect or unsealed weights and measures or amounts of packages of commodities found to be used, retained, offered or exposed for sale, or sold in violation of law. In the performance of his or her duties, he or she shall have authority to apply to any court of competent jurisdiction for a formal warrant to search any structure wherein he or she has probable cause to believe that packages or commodities, weights or measures are kept in violation of this chapter.
   (b)   The Sealer and his or her Deputy Sealer or inspectors shall have the same powers and perform the same duties within the City as are granted to and imposed upon the State Director by MSA §§ 12.1081(1) et seq. This chapter is declared to be in no way conflicting with such provisions or contrary to any regulation issued pursuant thereto and if there are any conflicts, the State law shall control.
