To operate a motor vehicle or engine, in an area zoned for residential purposes when said vehicle or engine:
(A) Is not equipped with an adequate muffler;
(B) Is equipped with a muffler or exhaust system with a cutout, bypass, or similar device; or
(C) Is equipped with a muffler or exhaust system modified so as to amplify or increase the noise above that emitted by the originally installed muffler.
