(A) It shall be unlawful for the operator or owner of any motor vehicle weighing over 1 ton to stop, stand, or park that vehicle on any street adjacent to or in front of any residence in the city; provided, however, that operators of commercial vehicles engaged in making deliveries may park those vehicles on the residential streets in the city while loading and unloading same.
(B) The provisions of this section shall not apply to Ferris Independent School District buses, emergency vehicles, motor homes, recreational motor homes, private passenger automobiles, or to motor vehicles and other equipment which are actually engaged in work upon any residential street or while engaged in installing or repairing utilities.
