§ 93.20 REGULATIONS GOVERNING OPEN BURNING.
   No person shall openly burn any material within the town limits, except as follows, to wit:
   (A)   Open burning of wood products only may be done for recreational, cooking purposes or for scouting events only upon the prior approval of the Town Marshal, Fire Department Chief or a designated town employee.
      (1)   Said burning shall be in a noncombustible container not used for trash or rubbish removal which is sufficiently vented to induce adequate primary combustion air, with enclosed sides, a bottom and a mesh covering with openings not larger that one-fourth inch square. All such approved fires must be attended to at all times until completely extinguished.
      (2)   No burning shall be conducted during unfavorable meteorological conditions such as high winds, air stagnation, extremely dry conditions and the like.
   (B)   Open burning may be conducted, if used solely for cooking purposes, with the use of a charcoal or gas grill without the prior approval of a designated town employee.
