§ 32.016 REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION POLICY.
   (A)   In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, it is the policy of the city to provide reasonable accommodation for qualified persons with disabilities who are either applicants or current employees, unless the accommodation would create an undue hardship for the city. "Reasonable accommodation" is the term for adjusting the structure of a job or the work environment in a manner that will enable an individual with a disability to perform the essential functions of the job.
   (B)   For the purposes of this policy, a "disability" includes any physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities including, but not limited to, caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, and working on a regular basis.
