(A) Before entering upon the duties of City Manager, the appointee shall take and subscribe to the oath or affirmation required by the Illinois Constitution.
(B) The City Manager shall furnish a bond in such amount and with such surety as may be approved by the corporate authorities, such bond to be conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties. The cost of the bond shall be paid by the city. The bond of the City Manager may be part of a blanket bond.
