§ 130.01 DISCHARGING FIREARMS PROHIBITED; SHOOTING RANGE EXCEPTION.
   No person shall discharge any firearm within the city, unless permitted by the City Council at sport shooting ranges.

§ 130.02 SPORT SHOOTING RANGE; ESTABLISHMENT; PROHIBITIONS.
   (A)   There is hereby created and established a sport shooting range, as defined by SDCL § 21-10-33, at Durkee Lake Park at the location and boundaries as set forth on the map thereof, attached to the ordinance codified herein, and included herein by this reference. This sport shooting range shall be known as “Durkee Lake Sport Shooting Range”.
   (B)   No person shall discharge any firearm or shoot a bow and arrow upon any portion of Durkee Lake Park outside of the Durkee Lake Sport Shooting Range as defined herein.

§ 130.03 FIREWORKS PROHIBITED.
   The use, throwing, lighting, firing, display, or sale of fireworks within the city shall be prohibited. The term FIREWORKS as referred to in this section shall include firecrackers, torpedoes, roman candles, toy cannons, detonating canes, blank cartridges, sky rockets, or other pyrotechnic displays, but shall not include or apply to ammunition for firearms nor to dynamite and devices for exploding the same used in any industry or for the same. The sale or discharge of firecrackers or other fireworks which conform to state law shall be allowed in accordance with the state law.

§ 130.04 EXCEPTIONS PROVIDED.
   The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to police officers of the city or to any person, firm, or corporation duly authorized by the City Council to discharge fireworks for public entertainment at a public celebration.
