No person shall place a portable storage unit any parcel in the City of Fairview Park without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Building Commissioner. The permit must be posted in the front window of the property or attached to the portable storage unit in a waterproof pocket if there are no windows on the property within which to post the permit. A nonrefundable fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for a thirty-day permit must be paid by the applicant. The application shall contain the name of the applicant to whom the temporary storage unit is supplied, the name of the person who owns, rents, occupies or controls the property, the address at which the portable storage unit shall be placed, the delivery and removal date, active building permit number (if applicable), a sketch depicting the location and placement of the temporary storage unit and the purpose of its use. Should the permit for a portable storage unit be requested at the same time as a building permit is issued for improvements to the property, the ten dollar ($10.00) permit fee for the portable storage unit shall be waived.
