1325.01  DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter, certain terms are defined as follows:
   (a)    "Waste material" means any material or article which has been discarded or abandoned, or any material or article no longer in use. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, waste material includes junk, waste boxes, cartons, plastic or wood scraps or shavings, waste paper and paper products, and other combustible materials or substances no longer in use or, if unused, those discarded or abandoned, metal or ceramic scraps or pieces of all types, glass and other noncombustible materials or substances no longer in use or, if unused, those discarded or abandoned; machinery, appliances or equipment, or parts or remains thereof, no longer in use or, if unused, those discarded or abandoned. "Waste material" also includes that which has been collected or stored for salvage or conversion to some other use.
   (b)    "Junk" includes abandoned, inoperable, disabled, partially dismantled, extensively damaged or wrecked vehicles of any kind, whether motor vehicle, automobile, motorcycle, emergency vehicle, school bus, bicycle, commercial tractor, agricultural tractor, house trailer, truck, bus, trailer, semitrailer, pole trailer, railroad train, railroad car, street car or trackless trolley, aircraft, lighter-than-aircraft, water craft or any other form of device for the transportation of persons or property. A vehicle shall be deemed inoperable when the lack or failure of the engine, transmission or other mechanical part results in the vehicle being not usable for the transportation of persons or property. "Junk" also includes a former vehicle which is so dismantled, destroyed or changed that it physically is no longer a vehicle or is not the vehicle described in the certificate of title. An extensively damaged vehicle shall be deemed to be a vehicle with such damage including, but not limited to any of the following: missing wheels, tires, motor or transmission.
      (1)    "Disabled" means a condition in which the vehicle cannot be operated in compliance with statutory or ordinance requirements.
      (2)    "Partially dismantled" means a vehicle which has some part or parts missing which is or are ordinarily an essential component thereof.
