(a) The Residential Code of Ohio as adopted and amended by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, Department of Commerce, published in Division 4101:8 et seq. of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) is hereby adopted and shall be in full force and effect within the City in its most recent edition.
(b) The Residential Code of Ohio is hereby adopted for the purpose of regulating the fabrication, erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, location and use of detached one, two and three family dwellings, their appurtenances and accessory structures and providing for the issuance of plan approval theretofore and providing penalties for the violations thereof.
