§ 33.04 INTERNAL ADMINISTRATION.
   The Police Commissioners shall appoint a presiding officer of the Police Commission, who shall preside at all meetings and hearings of the Police Commission.

§ 33.05 TERM.
   (A)   With the exception of the initial appointees, appointees to the Police Commission shall hold office for three years.
   (B)   One member of the Police Commission must be appointed annually at the first regular meeting of the Town Council in May of each year.

§ 33.06 INITIAL APPOINTEES.
   (A)   To maintain a staggering basis for appointment in accordance with M.C.A. § 7-32-4152, one initial appointee shall be appointed for three years. One initial appointee shall be appointed for two years.
   (B)   One initial appointee shall be appointed for one year. Thereafter, one new member shall be appointed annually. Initial appointees appointed for less than the full three-year term may be reappointed for the remainder of his or her three-year term once his or her initial term expires.

§ 33.07 HEARINGS; HEARINGS ON APPEAL.
   All hearings must be open to the public. The Police Commission shall, at the time set for the hearing of an appeal of a police officer, hear and determine the appeal according to the Montana Rules of Evidence, M.C.A. Title 26, Ch. 10.

FIRE DEPARTMENT
§ 33.20 ORGANIZATION AND SUPERVISION.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the Town Council to have complete supervision over the Fire Department and require the Chief Engineer to make a complete annual report concerning the Department in general giving a description of the condition of the Department, make suggestions and recommendations for major improvements and tell of the activities during the year.
   (B)   The Chief Engineer shall be directly responsible to this body in his or her capacity as head of the Fire Department.

§ 33.21 DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL.
   The Fire Department shall consist of a Chief Engineer and an Assistant Chief Engineer, and 22 firefighters as may be recommended by the Fire Department and approved by the Town Council.
