1428.99   PENALTY.
   (a)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of the National Electrical Standard, as adopted in Section 1428.01, or fails to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or erects, constructs, alters or repairs a building or structure in violation of a detailed statement or plan submitted and approved, or of a permit or certificate issued, is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and shall be fined not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues after notification of such violation or noncompliance.
   (b)   The owner of a building, structure or premises where anything in violation of the National Electrical Standard is placed or exists, and any person who assisted in the commission of such violation, are each guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and shall be fined not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues after notification of such violation or noncompliance.
   (c)   The application of the penalty provided in subsections (a) and (b) hereof shall not be deemed to preclude the enforced removal of prohibited conditions or the application of any other equitable remedy.
