(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the City that certain code known as the National Electrical Standard, particularly the edition adopted by the OBBS thereof, designated NFPA No. 70 and sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association, save and except such portions as are hereinafter amended or deleted.
(b) Adoption of the National Electrical Standard referred to in subsection (a) hereof shall serve the purpose of establishing a code for the City containing rules and regulations for electrical materials and installations in nonindustrialized one, two and three-family dwellings and their accessory buildings.
