733.06 PROHIBITED TRANSACTIONS.

(a) No person who sells, exchanges or trades a secondhand article to a secondhand dealer shall knowingly give false information or identification required under this chapter to the secondhand dealer.

(b) No secondhand dealer shall purchase, exchange, trade or receive any secondhand article from a seller who fails to provide any identification or information required under this chapter.

(c) No secondhand dealer shall sell, purchase, exchange, trade or receive any personal property on which a manufacturer’s serial number or other identifying information that was originally on the personal property has been defaced, destroyed, damaged, altered, or is missing.
