163.14   MILITARY DUTY.
   Permanent public employees of the City who are performing military duty shall receive pay and leave in accordance with Ohio R.C. 5923.05 except as hereinafter provided. Excluding the period described in Ohio R.C. 5923.05(A), a permanent public employee of the City who is called or ordered to the uniformed services because of an executive order issued by the President of the United States or an act of congress is entitled, during the period designated in the order or act, to a leave of absence and, if the employee’s gross uniformed pay and allowances is less than the employee’s gross wage or salary as an officer or permanent public employee, to be paid the difference between those amounts by the City during each month of that leave of absence. “Permanent public employee” and “military duty” as used in this subsection are as defined in Ohio R.C. 5903.01.
