521.18 OUTDOOR WOOD-FIRED BOILERS.
   (a)   Outdoor wood-fired boiler means a free-standing wood-burning device such as a furnace, stove or boiler, where the unit is located outside and/or not within a building intended for habitation by humans or domestic animals, which heats water or another substance to provide heat and/or domestic hot water to a dwelling or commercial building or an accessory structure. Any such device which burns other types of solid or other fuels shall also be considered an outdoor wood-fired boiler. This section does not apply to buildings or facilities used for industrial purposes.
   (b)   No person shall install, operate or maintain an outdoor wood-fired boiler in the City of Fairfield, Ohio.
   (c)   Whoever violates subsection (b) hereof is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
