505.03 DOG COLLAR AND LICENSE.

   (a)   The owner of any dog within the City shall maintain and keep a collar or harness on his dog and the collar or harness shall contain the name and address of the owner and any required dog license. Any dog found to be running at large within the City without a name tag or a required dog license shall be considered a stray and shall be impounded by the Dog Warden. The Dog Warden is hereby authorized to humanely dispose of a stray animal after seventy-two hours have elapsed from the time the dog has been captured or taken custody by the Dog Warden.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
