164.02 DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS.

   The Cultural Arts Advisory Commission shall serve as an advisory group to the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Board dedicated to the promotion of cultural arts activities within the City of Fairfield and specifically to:

   (a)   Assist the Parks and Recreation Board in the education of the public about the importance of the arts to the community.

   (b)   Assist the Parks and Recreation Board in informing the public of arts activities available to the community.

   (c)   Assist the Parks and Recreation Board in enlisting the support of civic groups and businesses who can contribute time and/or money to the arts in Fairfield. Assist the Parks and Recreation Board in the solicitation of available grants for arts programming.

   (d)   Assist the Parks and Recreation Board in the programming of its cultural arts facilities and exploring cultural arts opportunities for the City of Fairfield.

   (e)   Serve as the liaison with other cultural arts groups to expand the cultural arts opportunities for the City of Fairfield.
