1301.03   MINIMUM STANDARDS ADOPTED.
   (a)   One, two and three-family residences and accessory residential structures shall be governed by the Residential Code of Ohio, current edition, which is based on the International Residential Code with deletions, substitutions and amendments as approved by the State of Ohio.
   (b)   All other construction is governed by the Ohio Building Code, current edition, which is based on the International Building Code, as published by the International Code Council, Inc. with deletions, substitutions and amendments as approved by the State of Ohio. The International Building Code administrative requirements (Chapter 1) are not adoptive material and are replaced with administrative requirements promulgated by the State of Ohio.    (c)   The Ohio Mechanical Code, current edition which is based on the International Mechanical Code with deletions, substitutions and amendments as approved by the State of Ohio adopted by Ohio Board of Building Standards, is adopted, regulating and controlling the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems, and providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees. Additional requirements and regulations as per Chapter 1337, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
   (d)   Such standards shall relate to the conservation of energy, safety, and sanitation of buildings for their intended use and occupancy; however, note that plumbing is under the jurisdiction of the Butler County Health Department.
   (e)   Pursuant to §4.11 of the City Charter, copies of all codes adopted by reference shall be kept in the office of the Clerk of Council and shall be available to all interested persons. (Ord. 46-13. Passed 5-28-13.)
