At its first regular meeting of the calendar year, the members of the Commission shall elect the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, who shall hold office for one year. The Chairperson shall preside over meetings, appoint appropriate committees and direct the affairs, including establishing the meeting agenda of the Commission. In the absence of the Chairperson, the duties of this office shall be performed by the Vice-Chairperson.
