(A) The Economic Development Division is responsible for Economic Development within the City of Eureka and works with all departments and agencies in the city.
(B) The Economic Development Division Manager is the administrative head of the division and is appointed by the City Manager.
(C) The Manager is responsible for any activity that enhances the factors of productive capacity, such as land, labor, capital, and technology, of the local economy. "Economic development" includes policies and programs expressly directed at improving the business climate in business finance, marketing, neighborhood development, small business development, business retention and expansion, technology transfer, and real estate redevelopment.
