§ 32.082 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   The Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement services within the city including:
   (A)   To prevent crime and maintain law and order in the city by enforcing the laws of the United States, the state, and city except where enforcement is by law vested in another office or officer;
   (B)   To maintain in efficient operable condition, crime prevention and law enforcement systems and facilities;
   (C)   To train such volunteers and reserve personnel as may reasonably be required to augment regular full-time manpower;
   (D)   Maintenance, safekeeping and proper disposition of evidence and property;
   (E)   Administration, operation and direction of the City Communications Center;
   (F)   Administration, operation and direction of city animal control duties;
   (G)   To perform such other duties as the City Manager may direct.
