§ 32.042 BUILDING OFFICIAL.
   (A)   Administrative policies and procedures.
      (1)   Performance of duties. The Building Official performs all duties required of office by state law, the Charter of the city, this subchapter, and ordinances of the city and such other duties not in conflict therewith as may be required by the Development Services Director and/or City Manager. The Building Official administers, interprets, and enforces the building regulations of the city in an impartial, consistent manner, without prejudice or favor.
      (2)   Responsibility. The Building Official is responsible to the Development Services Director or in their absence the City Manager and will be responsible for the effective administration of the division and all activities assigned to it.
